What it does

Guarded Crate drops a lootable supply crate and surrounds it with armed guards. Clear the guards, the crate pops open. It's a self-made PvE fight you can start whenever you fancy a loot run.

Random drop, anywhere on the map

Open chat and run /gcrate start "Medium" — that drops a Medium-tier crate and its guards at a random spot on the map, guards and all.

Swap "Medium" for "Hard" or "Elite" for a tougher fight — see below.

Local drop, right where you're standing

Run /gcrate here "Medium" instead — same event, but it lands on top of your current position rather than somewhere random.

Exact coordinates, anywhere you choose

Want it somewhere specific — without standing there yourself? First get the coordinates: stand at the spot, open the F1 console, and run printpos. It prints something like (-799.53, 16.40, -1003.23).

Then run /gcrate position "Medium" "-799.53 16.40 -1003.23" — drop the parentheses and commas from what printpos gave you, space-separate the three numbers, and keep them in one pair of quotes. That drops the crate and its guards at that exact spot, guards and all.

Pick your difficulty

"Medium" — a fair fight, a handful of guards with decent gear. Good default.

"Hard" — more guards, better aim. Bring backup or good armour.

"Elite" — full squad, best gear, best loot on offer.

Easy has been retired — it was too quick to farm on repeat.

Before you go

Guards shoot back — they're armed and fight to the death, so go in geared up. The crate stays locked until every guard is down, no shortcuts. And guards don't check whose base it is near, so dropping one by your own walls (or anyone else's) starts a real fight there.
